Abstract: The main objective of the paper is to design and analyze the entire double wishbone suspension system for an All Terrain Vehicle for improving the stability and handling of the vehicle. There has been tremendous development in the suspension system. The topic is focused on designing the above mentioned suspension systems considering the dynamics of the vehicle along with minimizing the unsprung mass. The suspension system of an All Terrain Vehicle needs to be durable, light weight, efficient and less expensive. The vehicle must be able to withstand the harsh environment of off-road terrain. Stability of the vehicle and the ride comfort is given a prominent importance in this project.

Experimental Analysis of Inclined Narrow Plate-Fins Heat Sink under Natural Convection

Abstract: Steady state natural convection from heat sink with narrow plate-fins having parallel arrangement mounted on inclined base was experimentally investigated. Aluminum heat sink with two different lengths viz. 100mm and 200mm were modeled. Fin thickness was kept constant at 5mm. Fin height was selected 10mm, 20mm and 30mm for 100mm length of fin while it was 20mm, 40mm and 60mm for 200mm length of fin. Heat sink was kept at aspect ratio of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3. Rectangular base was made incline for 0°, 10°, 20°, 45°, 70°, 80° and 90° keeping upward facing fins. Heat input was varied from 60 W to 100 W. Effect of fin height, fin length, inclination of base was determined. Range of angle of inclination was suggested showing equivalent heat transfer rate. Also, effect of aspect ratio over natural convection was examined.

Abstract: Due to existing slot positions in wire manager it is tedious to pass through number of wires of different shape and sizes through the slot provided in existing wire manager. So it is required to design the mould for wire manager and improvement in existing design is a must. An effort is made in this paper to review various existing techniques of designing the mould for wire manager. This provides new direction to design and analysis of mould for multi slot on wire manager.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF WHEEL AND PEDAL OPERATED SPRAYER

Abstract: Chemicals are widely used for controlling disease, in sects and weeds in the crops. They are able to save a crop from pest attack only when applied in time. The chemicals are costly. Therefore, equipment for uniform and effective application is essential. Dusters and sprayers are generally used for applying chemicals. Dusting, the simpler method of applying chemical, is best suited to portable machinery and it usually requires simple equipment. But it is less efficient than spraying, because of the low retention of the dust. I have proposed equipment that is wheel and pedal operated sprayer, it is a portable device and no need of any fuel to operate, which is easy to move and sprays the pesticide by moving the wheel and also peddling the equipment. In this equipment using reciprocating pump and there is a accumulator provided for the continuous flows of liquid to create necessary pressure for the spraying action. This wheel operated pesticide spray equipment consumes less time and avoids the pesticide from coming from front of the nozzles which will in contact of the person who sprays pesticides
