SECURING IMAGE TRANSMISSION VICTIMISATION IN- COMPRESSION CRYPTOGRAPHY TECHNIQUE

Abstract:
ABSTRACT To enhance the embedding capacity of image steganography and provide an imperceptible stego-image for human vision, a novel adaptive number of least significant bits substitution method with private stego-key based on gray-level ranges are proposed in this paper. The new technique embeds binary bit stream in 24-bits color image (Blue channel) or in 8-bits gray-scale image. The method also verifies that whether the attacker has tried to modify the secret hidden (or stego-image also) information in the steno-image. The technique embeds the hidden information in the spatial domain of the cover image and uses simple (Exert operation based) digital signature using 140-bit key to verify the integrity from the stego-image. Besides, the embedded confidential information can be extracted from steno-images without the assistance of original images. The proposed method can embed 4.20 bits in each pixel of gray-scale image and 4.15 bits in each pixel of color image. The presented method gives better results than the existing methods.
