Abstract:
ABSTRACT The objective of this research work is to compare different design iterations of Brake Disc rotor based on structural and transient thermal analysis and to select the optimal design which minimizes stresses, deformation and temperature attained due to the friction of brake pads on the rotor. This makes the brake disc structurally and thermally safe for varying load applications. Keywords:Static Structural Analysis, Transient Thermal Analysis, Disc Brake Rotor, Ansys.
